Find out more about VAT exemptionThe Stellar Eco is a ‘Foam-in-Cell’ pumpless hybrid mattress system to provide pressure redistribution, exceptional patient comfort and increase patient conformance. Air distribution technology redistributes any pressure based on body position and weight and provides a much higher level of comfort than standard foam mattresses. The System is an ultra low energy efficient product - no pump required.
The system can accommodate patients assessed to be up to very high risk of developing pressure injuries or have existing tissue damage up to category IV with a patient weight limit of up to 200kg.
Key Product Features
Foam in Cell (FiC) Technology
Four specifically designed foam sections for head, body and heels with body pressure distribution analysed to maximise ergonomics and optimise comfort for the patient. When the patient moves or is repositioned the air will circulate around the cells to redistribute the pressure.
Designed for infection control and easy maintenance
Antimicrobial, waterproof, multi-stretch cover and base sheet are easy to clean, feature welded seams and handles, easy grip straps, cable management conduits and 360° zip for easy removal of top cover.
Eco Friendly
The system is an ultra low energy efficient product - no pump required. This allows long term savings on energy usage and any associated maintenance cost. The modular design increases the product lifespan and reduces environmental impact.
Pressure Relief and Comfort
The air circulation is automatically controlled by a series of one-way valves, one at the bottom, the other at the top. This controls the throughput of air and does not require any power.
Modular System
The system is modular in design and all parts are interchangeable to allow quick and easy replacement of components at low cost. Ideal for both community and palliative care environments.
