I got a narrow delivery window and the driver arrived on time. Danielle delivered the bed, put it together for me and explained all the functions and gave tips for things we might not have considered (e.g. turn the wheels inwards when you move it so no-one stubs their toes :-D). I didn't do the VAT-free bit properly when ordering, but they sent me a form to fill out and we got the VAT refunded a short while later. Once assembled the bed seems just what was wanted.
I would have given 5 "" however I could not find in the manual self assembly, only self-dismantle, so one has to read this backwards!
When dismantling for moving, manual does not include in section Transport brackets para 2, the need to swing locking clips round to secure joing plates to bed ends.

My father needed a hospital style bed to return home following rehabilitation after a broken hip. We checked various suppliers for these beds and checked their ratings on Trustpilot. We decided to purchase from Shelden Healthcare and ordered and paid for the bed online. We received a phone call the next day to organise the delivery and installation. Due to personal circumstances, we were unable to go ahead with the purchase. We contacted Shelden Healthcare who were very understanding and helpful at a very trying and emotional time. Although some people had raised concerns over getting refunds, in our experience this was not the case but the opposite. Shelden Healthcare handled our refund in a prompt and professional manner. The lady I spoke to was very knowledgeable and was a great help. The bed was delivered on time and set up in a short time. The bed was excellent and did all what was expected. The only problem was the wrong mattress and been delivered. The driver was mortified and arrange to have the correct mattress delivered by the following morning which did happen but it delayed the OT's visit to check that other equipment was compatible. Buying online, I discovered the bed wasn't really appropriate for a short person (5ft 4" with a broken spine). The real point of the bed was to protect the spine, and this couldn't be done without adding a supportive cushion the same size as the mattress to the top half of the bed, and removing the small "ankle" cushion during entry. She!den put me in touch with an expert to discuss this.

Listed as in stock, difficult to figure out how to avoid in that yu need to join Sheldon Healthcare for VAT free boxes to work, staff unaware. Purchase failed as shortly after buying got a phone call to say no stock. Then they had to phone their supplier who were also out stock. So second call was to say they can't say when/if they can get them in, so need to cancel order. Quick and fiendly staff, but need to get stocking ight on website, and sort ordering form. Shame how long refunds take! Debits ae instant! £200 is not a small amount for a disabled person to find and delays re-ordering elsewhere!

Great product and serviceI bought this bed online. They rang to arrange a delivery date but could not give a specific time so we arranged a phone call 1 hour before delivery. Today the bed has been delivered and they did ring 1 hour before. The delivery was excellent , the driver and installer of the bed was very polite , nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend them.
My only negative is the cost of them demonstrating the remote control of the bed. It really is idiot proof even i could have figured it out!!! but you never know when ordering these things.Posted on

Excellent ServiceAfter enquiring about a hospital for my Dad on live chat (as there were none available from the NHS until 8th September) I received a follow up call from Shelden. I explained that we needed the bed urgently for a hospital discharge and asked for next day delivery. The bed was delivered the very next day, on Saturday morning, at around 08.00 am. We received excellent service from Shelden and their delivery company. Would definitely recommend.

The wrong bed and 2 mattresses arrived without any warning and poorly packaged, so the bed was scuffed. The fault lay with the supplier and not Sheldon themselves. It t000k a great deal of effort for Sheldon to get the problem sorted in as short a time as possible, and I was kept informed all the time. Four days later the correct bed arrived and was installed, and the (damaged) incorrect bed was collected, along with one of the mattresses. Sheldon really were good at sorting the problem out.

After checking the website (after closing time ) I noted a mobile number for anytime contact. On ringing I found I was speaking to the MD who was extremely helpful and organised deliver within 5 days .Also value for money a lot cheaper than some competitors. Bed arrived and engineer was very helpful and polite , nothing was to much trouble .Excellent service. Many thanks.

Reasonably straightforward to assemble, although it is a two person job, instruction leaflet is very poor and could easily be replaced with a very simple set of diagrams.

Hight adjustable wheeled shower commode chair.I brought my wife a hight adjustable shower commode to go over the toilet. I have a Geberit wash and dry toilet,it's very good because my wife can not stand. When the commode is over the toilet and washing her i get water on the floor because she cannot sit on the toilet seat. I know thay do wheeled commodes for the Geberit toilet, but I need the pot commode. So I'll put up with water on the floor or see if I can get a skirt for it. The commode is very good and does the job.

Top quality service and product and thoroughly recommended for aftercare service

Exceptional aftercare service I ordered…Exceptional aftercare service I ordered the Invacare bed from the company for my elderly father with raised sides unfortunately when it was put together we initially only required one set of the rails to be fixed but a little while later the second set was required to be fitted but we could find no trace or recollection of having had a set of fixings I contacted Laura at Shelden who went out of her way to locate another set and have their distribution company forward a set to us. Top quality service and product and thoroughly recommended for aftercare service.

I have never bothered doing reviews before because the service is very much the same but Shelden deserve one. I had a query at 6pm about a hoist and my call was answered immediately by Dean who gave me expert advice. When I phoned the next day in the afternoon to place an order the sales lady held the call briefly to call out to the warehouse men to get them to put it on the load so I would get it the following day. She took all the details and immediately processed the order. Today the hoist arrived and the driver willingly offered to bring it into the house despite it strictly being a kerbside delivery due to weight/size. From beginning to end it could not be improved also the best price by far. Thank you Shelden
