How big are hospital beds?

Typically a standard size. It depends on which model of hospital bed you buy. But typically 90cm wide by 2 metres long which is similar to a traditional single bed size. But wider beds at 120cm wide are often used for Bariatric patients. Most hospital beds in residential care environments are these sizes. The bed you use will depend largely on your needs and mobility capabilities. Interestingly, the trend is moving towards smaller hospital beds. This is because many hospitals are now placing greater emphasis on user comfort and mobility, and it's thought that smaller beds promote these goals better than full-sized beds.
