For detecting movement. By connecting to a nurse call system the PIR sensor will trigger an alarm.
PIR motion sensor uses infrared technology to trigger an alert when body movement is detected within the range of the infrared beam. The monitor is an alternative solution to the floor mats where a PIR beam may be more appropriate. It is also an excellent facility to give patients the freedom and safety of their own room whilst still proactively giving the care giver advanced warning of any patient at risk of falling, if they attempt to wander from their room.
In a care home connect to your nurse call system with the appropriate connector (supplied seperately).
In a private home setting with no nurse call system this infra red monitor needs to be connected to the fall preventers alarm receiver (sold seperately or as a kit with this monitor).
The monitor can be secured to a door frame or screwed to the edge of a care bed to monitor bed exit and can be fitted in a vertical or horizontal position depending on the are of monitoring required.
